PREFACE

A Personal Note to Our Learners

Dear Students and Esteemed Healthcare Professionals,

It is with immense pleasure and a profound sense of purpose that I welcome you to eSwasthya Vidya, our unified Learning Management System. Throughout its history, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) has been a steadfast advocate for academic excellence and innovation in healthcare education. This platform represents a significant leap forward in our mission to cultivate a generation of competent, compassionate, and future-ready healthcare professionals.

In this spirit, the launch of eSwasthya Vidya is a milestone moment, marked by our dedication of this platform to the nation on the momentous occasion of the 79th Independence Day of India. This initiative is closely aligned with national priorities, most notably the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), and a testament to our commitment to building a connected, inclusive, and technology-enabled healthcare ecosystem.

Our inaugural offering, the Digital Health Foundation Course (DHFC), is a certified program that marks a pivotal step toward integrating digital health into mainstream health sciences education. It is designed to provide you with a comprehensive overview of critical domains such as health information systems, telehealth, AI applications, and public health informatics.

A standout feature of this program is the virtual Digital Health Lab (DHL), which offers hands-on exposure to practical tools like demo hospital information systems, electronic medical records, and telemedicine platforms. This immersive experience ensures you gain not only theoretical knowledge but also the practical skills vital for navigating the digital dimension of modern healthcare.

I invite you all—our undergraduate students, faculty members, and healthcare professionals from across the country—to actively engage with this unique learning experience. May it broaden your perspective, deepen your capabilities, and inspire a forward-thinking approach to health service delivery in the digital age.

With warmest regards and great expectations,

Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Yeole
